AVM Art Production (Ziyadzadz [Dinoto] Theatre Project)

Arnold is offering our students the following classes:
  • Visual Arts: Drawing with different media e.g pencil, brushes, etc., shading and tone, mixture of colours, portrays, perspective, designing, etc.
  • Drama: Character transformation, theatre, script analysis, write a script, developing a storyline, etc.
  • Dance: Body Transformation, exercises, Contemporary, Modern Dance, Afrofusion, etc.
  • Music: Vocal Crepitations, vocal balance, music scale, instruments, traditional music, etc.
This project is aiming to encourage our youth to be critical about our social issues by using their talents. We want to create a platform for our learners to give them the possibility to tell about their stories and to open career opportunities in the field of art.

So far the Traditional Dance group achieved the second position in the Ekurhuleni North District during an Arts & Culture Competition. Soon they are heading to the provincial competitions.

News May 2010: SAMUN, Dinoto in soccer fever

SAMUN

As Dinoto has a really successful debating club, two learners (Morongwe Raputhi and Penwell) can partake in the South African Model United Nations. Every team consists of four learners. In our case two from Dinoto and two from Wordsworth High School (Benoni).
Together we attended a preparation workshop on 15th May for the Gauteng Provincial Model UN in August. The topic we are going to discuss about is the 'Responsibility to protect' and we are going to present Ethiopia in the Model UN. Now the Research can begin...

Here you can see Penwell delivering a speech at the assembly.

Feel it, it is here:
Dinoto in soccer fevah!

We are not only supporting Bafana Bafana on Fridays (as reported in March 2010) we are also playing soccer ourselves - educators against learners. As expected learners won: 5 - 2
